  14. LhA2LZX can perform several different actions:
  15.  
  16. - It can convert archives between the two formats
  17.     (e.g. give it an LhA archive and it will convert it to LZX, or vice
  18.     versa)
  19. - It can convert to the smaller of the two archives
  20.     (e.g. give it an LhA archive and it will create the LZX version,
  21.     compare the size with the LhA version and save the smallest, or vice
  22.     versa)
  23. - It can repack an archive
  24.     (e.g. give it an LhA archive and it will de-archive it and re-archive
  25.     it with LhA to make sure it is the smallest size for that particular
  26.     format).

  28. If using from Workbench, it is all done by requesters - so you don't even
  29. need to touch the keyboard!
  30.  
  31. If using from Directory Opus, just select your archives and go!
  32.  
  33. This program is an AmigaDOS script file, so you can load it into a text
  34. viewer/editor and see how it all works.  Almost all of the lines have been
  35. commented to help you understand this.
